Membership and Fees 2025
Membership
You need to be a *member to participate in our activities as either a Sailor or Volunteer.
Membership Types
- Sailor - For participating regular individual sailors aged over 18 years who attend in their own right
- Associate - For family, friends, staff or personal assistants who need to accompany an individual sailor on our boats
- Youth - For participating regular individual sailors aged between 8 and 18 years who attend in their own right
- Volunteer - Someone who actively give their time to support the Woolverstone Project in any capacity.
- Corporate - A single membership for schools, societies, institutions or organisations who bring groups sailing to the Woolverstone Project. All persons who are associated with the group will be covered by the Corporate membership
- Personal Assistant - Is no longer available as it is now covered by Corporate or Associate memberships
Our membership runs from the 1st January to 31st December.
For guests coming to Alton Water to support a sailor or spectate it is not necessary to become a member. However, if you accompany an individual sailor who is a member on the water we can add you as an associate member.
You can join or renew your membership online at our website by clicking on ' Join' for new members or 'Renew' for existing members once logged in.
For individual (Sailor, Youth and Volunteer) membership could we please have the sailors first and last name, a contact number (mobile preferable), postcode, email address, DoB, emergency contact details and any medical conditions (or behaviour characteristics) we need to aware of (please put 'None Declared' if there is no relevance while sailing with us). Could we please have the names of any regular personal assistants for our records.
Corporate members, to be eligible, are required to nominate someone as the Point of Contact (PoC) and provide full contact details; email, telephone, a postal address and In Case of Emergency (ICE) details, if different to the PoC. We also require a list of attendees names and any special requirements.
*Please Note:- All persons going on the boats will need to have either individual, associate or corporate membership as this confirms your agreement with our terms and conditions, and compliance with our insurer.

From the members portal under Documents you can find; COVID, Risk assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, as well as Woolverstone Project policy documents and guides are all available to logged in members.
Fees 2025
We would prefer payment by BACS Transfer to Sort Code: 30-94-55 Account No. 02192595 shortly after attendance or Contactless on the day

If cash is the only option please bring the correct money.
Invoicing is by prior arrangement only.
We aim to be cashless by 2026. Will you be? If not please contact us.
Membership Fees
We no longer charge for membership.
Sailing Fees - Alton Water
Adult and Youth Sailors £8 per person.
Groups - a fixed session fee based on number of sailors booked.(e.g. School brings 10 sailors = £80 per session). For schools the invoice will be raised after the last session.
Sailing Fees - Woolverstone
Exclusive boat use
Groups with Exclusive use of Wheelyboat up to 5 to 7 persons (depending on the number of wheelchairs boarding) £42
Groups with Exclusive use of Sonar sailing boat up to 4 persons £24
Mixed group sessions
All individual Sailing Passengers (i.e. sailor and assistants) sharing a boat with other groups and sailors £6 per person.
Please Note
For Exclusive Use bookings the fee is for the sole use of the boat and not the number of passengers you bring with your group.
For groups sharing a boat your sailing fee will be for the number of persons booked and not how many are attending.
