A visit from the local MP

We were delighted recently to welcome our local MP to visit the project to see what we do. We started the visit at the Royal Harwich YC and then headed out for a trip on the river on our Wheelyboat. After a look round the local area, taking in a bit of local history, we headed back in to meet the staff from Woolverstone Marina and Lodge Park and then finished off with a cup of tea at MoniMar cafe and restaurant. James later posted the following:
"I was delighted to visit the South-Suffolk based @The Woolverstone Project, an incredible charity who enable those with disabilities to gain access to boats on our stunning Suffolk rivers and waterways. I was proud to assist @The Woolverstone Project in obtaining a National Lottery grant and today got to see with my own eyes the amazing experience they offer people. Operating out of Woolverstone Marina and Lodge Park, and Alton Water, the charity is run by volunteers and operates specially adapted boats and facilities to cater for all. There are many therapeutic benefits to enjoying time on the water and I passionately believe that the opportunity to experience this should be available to everyone."
